Over the next 18 months the 3 giants of the Games Console world will be battling it out in stores and homes across Europe, America and Asia for the title of the world greatest Games Console. The stakes are high in this multi billion dollar business, not just for the console sales but for the games sales that go along side it. Since the launch announcements of all 3 consoles in May at the E3 conference in LA. The 3 combatants have been vying for the millions of column inches that have been written about the Next Generation Consoles. Each Press release has been hotly followed by another press release from a rival company so much so that extracting the facts from all the hype has been nearly impossible. At the launch press conferences Microsoft boasted that the Xbox 360 could do 9-billion-dot-product-operations per second. Sony then came out and said that the PS3 could do 51-billion-dot-product-operations per second however Sony had combined the CPU and GPU performance numbers whilst Microsoft only reported its CPU performance number. When the consumer is up against this sort of publicity blizzard it is best not to believe a thing until you can check the facts for yourself.
So what do we know?
Well for the Xbox 360 and the Sony Playstation 3 we have lots of lists of hardware and specifications which actually don’t mean very much in isolation. The main thing that need concern us are the processor speeds and they are both stated as being 3.2 GHz The only time that the hardware will mean anything is when we get to run them side by side and then if experience is anything to go by the difference in real life performance won’t be noticeable and will just be used by the press departments to battle it out.
Despite all the press releases and information that has been spewing out of the headquarters of Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo we actually know very few facts.
We know that in all likelihood the Xbox 360 will be on the shelves in time for Christmas, Amazon are currently taking pre-delivery orders and are quoting a release date of November 28th. The prices have been set at $299 for the Core System and $399 for the Xbox 360, the difference being that the Core system doesn’t have the external hard drive required to save games and download new content or the headset required to play online on Xbox Live! Why 2 prices? and why a version that hasn’t got everything included? This looks very much like a product of the marketing department trying to get a product at the historically important sub $300 level more than anything and this may backfire on them in the long run.
Next to hit the Shelves will be Sony’s Playstation 3 supposedly in spring next year once again we have very few facts to go on, Sony are continually releasing press releases and mentioning in public that the price will be high and the figure of $500 has been mentioned but many industry experts suspect that this is a ploy so that when they release it at $300 or $350 it will look like a bargain. The final console to hit the shelves will be the Nintendo Revolution some time late in 2006 and 2007. Since the “launch” at E3 this year very little has been said about it by Nintendo. It seems at this time the “Launch” was just a way to deflect some of the publicity away from Microsoft and Sony.
One fact is certain, If Microsoft do get the Xbox 360 onto the shelves before Christmas it will be this year’s biggest selling Christmas gift. So until you get your hands on one of the consoles

I have compiled a list of the most important things every WOW player on the Alliance must know and have narrowed it down to five. Read them below.
1.) If you want to go solo, get yourself a Night Elf Hunter or a Warlock.
While there isn’t any one particular character template that works perfectly for soloing, this is about the best that there is on the Alliance side. First, there really isn’t any equal level monster in the game that a properly tricked out Hunter can’t tackle one-on-one without breaking a sweat. While Warlocks are a bit more fragile, they have an excellent complement of damage dealing spells that will let them survive - albeit while taking more damage. Unfortunately, many creatures will attack in groups if they notice one of their buddies getting pounded on (Elite creatures are particularly nasty with this).
That’s where pets come in, Any “Pet” class can use their animal (or demonic) companion to do what’s called “crowd control” - basically pulling one creature away from a group and a time and killing it. The Warlock’s Void Walker is particularly good at this. Night Elves quest lines at low levels are also pretty self-contained within the geographically isolated Teldrassil, meaning you never have far to run to reach a quest destination or to retrieve your corpse.
2.) Gnomes have the best (worst) dancing emotes.
Trust me on this one. Simply typing /dance into the game while playing as a gnome will show you what I mean. Gnome dancing is the most offensive thing in Azeroth - rumor has it that the Horde offers 10 gold pieces to anyone who can actually manage to kill a Gnome in PvP during a dance. This makes Gnomes perfect for role-players who want to annoy other players and have a good laugh.
3.) Everyone loves a Human Priest.
This is the perfect class for players looking to group. Humans’ racial talents help a Priest hold his or her own in combat and there isn’t a group alive that isn’t thrilled when a Priest shows up just before heading into an Elite dungeon or an instance. Priests are also pretty rare in the game, there aren’t really all that many players who enjoy taking on the social/support roles, so your skills will always be in demand - and you’ll level pretty fast.
4.) You don’t have follow the quest lines for your own race!
One of the biggest misconceptions that new players have about World of Warcraft is that quests are restricted by race - in other words, that if you’re playing a Human, you must take the “Human” quests in Elwynn Forest when you start out. That’s simply not true. Players can take any level-appropriate quest regardless of their race. For Alliance players looking to level up a bit faster, there is a bit of a shortcut. Simply head to the hub cities of Ironforge or Stormwind as soon as you’re strong enough to get out of the newbie zone (around level 5). From there, find the passage to Teldrassil, the Night Elf homeland and start collecting quests. Teldrassil is very small, contains the hub city of Darnassus that offers every service, and players rarely have to run far to complete quests. You’ll find yourself at level 10 or even higher in no time!
5.) The Alliance means more content, but more people.
For whatever reason, the Alliance races as a whole (Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves, and Gnomes) are more popular with players. This can often mean severe crowding in popular regions along with what we like to call “mass extinction events”. That basically means that several quests in the area that require players to kill a particular animal may make it hard to find that animal for a while - and that you may be racing other players who are standing around waiting for them to spawn. The good news is that the Alliance has a lot more quest-based content than the Horde. While this isn’t noticeable at the earlier levels, many Horde players often find themselves running low on quests around level 25-30 and being forced to just “farm” random creatures for experience.

Newcomers to live action games in casinos and play mostly online poker are not always aware of the proper protocols and etiquette at the casino. And seasoned veterans can use a gentle reminder sometimes too! Experienced poker players can sometimes behave unethically by disregarding established poker protocols and rules. At a showdown, if your opponent calls and asks to see your cards, then flip the over for all to see. Every player who was originally in the hand is entitled to see the cards when a showdown is called.
Don’t splash your chips into the middle of the pot. It causes confusion and slows down the hand. Simply put your bet out in front of you for all to see.
Don’t touch anyone’s chips but your own. Do not attempt to take back any chips that have been put in play. Once the chips have moved into the pot, they must stay there. Most casinos prohibit players from removing any portion of their chips from the table. If another player needs to buy more chips, let the dealer take care of it. Don’t try to cash some of your chips at the table, then put the money away. It is, however, usually acceptable to use some of your chips to pay for food and drinks.
Don’t engage in delaying tactics. It is outright rude to stall when making a decision just before the blinds are about to go up. In multi-table tournament play, when the action is getting down to the bubble, some players will intentionally delay their decisions and hold up the game hoping other players are knocked out at other tables. It is a form of passive aggression used to automatically advance into the money, but it is considered an unethical breach of protocol.
You want to win - you don’t want to get labeled as a troublemaker who gets banned from the casino for breaching the rules.

In December 2008 elotto brought the Spanish lottery to its product range, affording participants globally a vastly bettered opportunity of partaking in this tremendous Spanish lottery prize fund.
If its the first time you have come across the Spanish Lotto, let me highlight just how measurable this lottery is to the vast majority of the Spanish population. The Spanish lottery has been a public obsession in Spain for a long time with huge interest generated by the Christmas lottery draw every year. Believe it or not 98% of the population play this Spanish National lottery each and every Christmas.
There are a few central reasons why lots of Spanish nationals join in the Christmas El Gordo lottery draw.
Firstly, on that point is the inducement of the biggest lotto prize fund of any world-wide lotto game - 2.20 Billion Euros! Second, there are more than thirteen thousand money prizes to be won. Lastly, the chance of collecting a cash prize on the Christmas draw are a extremely feasible - 1 : 6.
With the measure of interest thats presented to the Christmas El Gordo lotto draw, a great deal of individuals are unaware that there is 5 additional Spanish Lottery draws each year also. These lotto games happen on July, January and November, March and May. Even though these five games don’t feature the gigantic prize fund of the Christmas lotto draw, they are large nonetheless, ranging from seventy eight million Euros to six hundred and sixty six million Euros. Plus, these lotto games provide almost three times as many prizes as the Christmas draw plus odds of collecting a money prize of an splendid 1 : 3.
The Christmas Spanish Lottery works in an unusual way to virtually all other worldwide drawings. A full lotto ticket ‘billete’ is very pricey, costing 200 Euros. However, these lottery tickets are divided up into ten ‘decimos’ (tenths) costing 20 Euros apiece.
When purchasing your tickets you have the choice of buying 1 decimo, a complete lotto ticket, or a part of a ticket. If you don’t buy the whole lotto ticket, somebody else will purchase the remainder of your lottery ticket. For example, when you purchase 2 decimos, someone else buys three decimos and someone else buys five and your ticket wins 1000 Euros, and then you will collect two hundred Euros, 300 Euros and five hundred Euros respectively. Owing to the expense of buying a full lotto ticket, it is not unusual for households and friends to incorporate their lotto money and all purchase a separate ‘decimo’ 10th.

Celebrate this Christmas with gifts, exciting parties, decorations, Christmas trees, wreaths, Christmas movies and Christmas drinks, eggnog and hot chocolate. Kick back with friends with Christmas party games on family night or at a party or gathering with the kids. Everyone can get involved and join in the fun.
Anyone wild about Christmas will do well on this one because it will test your expertise and memory of Christmas characters. But no game is game without a little challenge so keep in mind the less famous characters like Jack Frost. For this game challenge at the party, think of any Christmas character you can. Write down all the character names and movies (to help people really understand the character) on index cards. Then, attach the names on the backs of the guests of the party, gathering, etc. Your guests will chat with one another, looking at the character names and will ask questions to try and figure out “Who am I?” The important thing is the questions people ask each other must be answered with “yes” or “no.” The first guest to properly guess their own character will get a prize! Keep playing until all the guests correctly guess their Christmas character. It’s a gas to see how long it will take for all to guess their character.

Gambling whether in person or at a online casino means risk. There are a number of ways that the element of risk exists in gambling or playing poker. In fact the term gambling is synonymous with risk. However the unique thing about gambling is there are ways to control your risk. For instance, certain kinds of gambling games such as poker reduce risk by also requiring skill. Other forms of gambling such as craps are almost all about risk. The trick to succeeding at gambling is to know what risks are good and which are bad. While this is easy to say, the actual practice of reducing your risk gambling can be a bit tricky.
The easiest way to reduce your risk is to play a gambling game that has less risk involved that other typical gambling games. The chief low risk gambling game is that of poker. Poker is perhaps one of the best games for limiting risk. The reason for this is that poker (unlike many other forms of gambling) introduces the role of skill. This means that while chance, and thus risk, are a factor, skill at poker can help stabilize the random elements of chance. Yet while Poker does reduce the elements of chance quite a bit, it introduces a whole new element of risk in the form of other players.
Other players at a poker table now become the representation of chance. Does the person sitting across from you have a better hand? Or perhaps the person sitting next to you got the card you needed to make your hand that more solid. In fact, in some ways, poker may actually be a risk even greater than any you can play. The question you need to ask yourself when thinking about sitting at a poker table is are you skilled enough to be there?
The above question does beg another question. What do you do if you don’t think you are skilled enough to sit at a table? Well if you have an internet connection the answer is simple. Play poker online. Most online forms of poker have low betting games that allow someone new to the game to learn the basics. Also most online poker sites group people into experience level. This allows someone to play with people of a similar level and thus not loose the shirt of their back to experienced pros.
In the end no matter how hard you try there is no way to completely get rid of risk in a gambling game. However part of the joy of gambling is the risk. Also without risk there is no reward. So take a deep breath, grab a deck of cards and get ready. It’s gambling time.
